Welcome to AIMHIUSA.
We envision a strong, united professional home for those whose work is focused on infant and early childhood mental health. Together, we can build a cohesive, supportive, and dynamic professional community dedicated to nurturing and supporting Associations for Infant Mental Health [AIMHs] through a unified national network.
Nonprofit Status Update:
AIMHIUSA has officially launched as an organization! While there are many steps to take in this journey, we have taken the first critical steps by filing domiciling paperwork, beginning drafts of the IRS1023 document for filing, drafting conflict of interest policy, bylaws, and other required foundational policy and governance tasks.
Who We Are
Why Support AIMHiUSA?
The Association of Infant Mental Health - USA (AIMHi•USA) is a national network for professional organizations committed to supporting the infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) workforce. By uniting experts, advocates, and leaders from across states, sectors, and systems, we aim to champion policies, practices, and innovations that enhance the well-being of infants, young children, and their families.
Our Vision
We envision a national infant mental health association that:
Connects and aligns AIMHs across the United States
Promotes best practices and innovations in IECMH
Advocates for equitable policies and systems to support families
Supports the professionals who are the foundation of IECMH systems
Why AIMHiUSA?
There is a recognized and significant gap in the alignment and representation of Associations for Infant Mental Health (AIMHs) across the United States. Without a unified national body, opportunities for support, innovation, and collaboration remain untapped.
AIMHiUSA provides opportunities to:
Empower IECMH professionals with shared knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions.
Cultivate partnerships that drive system improvements and enhance practices.
Create a professional home that inspires connection, collaboration, and celebration.
A Critical Need
The first years of life lay the groundwork for lifelong well-being. Supporting IECMH ensures every child has the opportunity to thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally.
A National Approach
AIMHi•USA represents the collective expertise of state-level AIMHs, creating an unmatched network of resources, knowledge, and innovation to improve outcomes nationwide.
A Proven Track Record
The AIMHi•USA convening council comprises leaders with decades of experience advancing IECMH through training, policy, practice, and advocacy.
Opportunity
AIMHiUSA aspires to be:
A national professional association for state AIMHs, tribal nations, U.S. territories, and other organizations supporting IECMH professionals.
A place for connection, collaboration, and encouragement.
A professional home where everyone belongs.
